To further consolidate and strengthen our GE Renewable Energy Wind turbine service and maintenance teams in Sweden we are looking for qualified and committed Field Technicians in Markbygden, Piteå.
Essential Responsibilities :
Ability to work independently on the implementation of fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems, including clarification of any client queries.
Planned and preventive maintenance of wind turbine generator systems.
Documenting of call-out responses, fault finding and repair work in service reports, logbooks and checklists.
Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site.
Contact person for client technical queries, such as retrofits and repairs.
Qualifications/Requirements :
Professional training in electrical engineering sector (electrician, power electronics system, mechatronic engineer).
Familiar with MS.
Office operating system.
Familiar with PLCs. High degree of quality awareness; excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills combined with the ability to detect and remedy faults, defects, problems.
Able to work at heights and high level of physical fitness. Structured worker with technical analytical abilities. Fluency in English language, Swedish a plus.
Prepared to travel.
Willing to work sometimes also at the weekends.
Class B driving license (license for driving trucks up to 3,5 t with trailer). EU Work Permit.

Job Description Summary
The EHS Lead Specialist Nordics position provides day-to-day EHS support for service operations on a set of sites within the region. They are the first line contact for the field service engineers as they manage day to day EHS issues in service work, and key advisor and support to local Service Managers. Routine tasks are related to training, inspections, customer interaction around planning and job execution.

The scope comprises mainly of the site of Markbygden, with occasional support to North Sweden and Finland. The area currently has in the region of 200 turbines with 30 GE Technicians and is currently experiencing a high volume of growth. In addition, during peak activities can be responsible for managing local EHS contractor support, with up to 120 contractors on site.
This role will be the EHS assigned person for the Sweden/ Finland.
Essential responsibilities:
To interpret Laws, Regulations and Procedures, considering all relevant local / national EHS standards in the organization.
Prepare EHS Documentation for products and processes if needed and review any other documents prepared by other areas to provide EHS assessment.
Review key processes regularly, like emergency response, simplified working plan, supporting site managers and supervisors at its implementation, and regularly auditing its implementation at site level.
Ensure compliance and full implementation in all GE EHS processes and EHS reporting systems.
Support and assist accident/incident investigations, providing training and guidance in investigation and root cause analysis.
Ensure that all applicable EHS events are reported, classified, investigated and actions for improvement/ correction are created and executed according to GE requirements and applicable governmental regulations.
Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors, insurance representatives, local medical services, local fire and police departments, local regulatory agencies, and Customer/Client on EHS related matters.
Serve as coach, mentor, and trainer for local management team, including site managers and other key leaders in safety, being able to implement continuous improvement initiatives cross-functionally.
Ensure periodical EHS meetings are held in all levels to involve the organization and, facilitating the preparation and formally recording information, supporting and facilitating the preparation, supporting site managers in its interpretation
Be the advisor and guide to site managers on deployment of EHS strategy, relevant changes in the regulations, and initiatives to improve performance in EHS.



Required qualifications:
Locally or internationally recognized professional EHS qualification, like NEBOSH ICC or ICG
Good knowledge of Microsoft office, web based tools
Physical condition and fitness to climb a wind turbine
Good knowledge and understanding of local rules/regulations framework, interactions between authorities
Fluent English skills and Swedish (written and spoken)
Extensive experience in wind field operations and/or EHS, ideally in wind business
The ability to travel is frequently required



Desired characteristics:
Technical background in electricity, mechanical, etc.
Familiar with OSHA (US) regulatory requirements.
Familiar with ISO 45001, 14001 Certifications framework
Technical background as a Wind Turbine Technician is a considered an advantage.
GWO (Global Wind Organization) qualifications (WINDA code).
Expert level of knowledge in technical EHS specific Knowledges
Skilled in EHS Risk Assessment, EHS Guidelines and Processes, EHS Audits and Assessments, Regulatory Compliance, Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis and EHS Management System; Process development and optimization, continuous improvement and lean.
Awareness in Security and Crisis Management
Able to effectively communicate at all levels and lead and influence change.

Job Description
Customer focused approach to build long term relationships with customers to deliver business objectives.
Strong functional knowledge in Operations and Maintenance best industry practices, planning, organizing, coordinating, executing and controlling the wind farm activities, productivity improvements, operational excellence in outage management, trouble shooting, fault/data analytics, and warranty administration.
Drive the safety culture at the site inclusive of contracted partners and customers.
Drive results to meet the established KPI’s and site financial targets.
Collaborate and oversee contractual obligations and activities, working closely with project owners and various customers daily to exceed site operational and performance targets related to wind turbine electrical and mechanical equipment and BOP.
Be innovative and engaged in all areas of facility operations aligned with the site plan to include creative problem solving with LEAN thinking.
Responsible for leading the site team which includes maintenance mechanics, technicians, and operators.
Initiate and support staffing requirements, counseling, coaching, training, and corrective action concerning employees and contracted partners; and career progression and succession planning.
Assist with Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting responsibilities, cash management of inventory and managing customer performance guarantees.
Partner with cross-functional teams like Sales, Commercial Operations, Sourcing, Finance, HR to meet the deliverables.

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR a high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of experience in a field services role)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field services or equivalent managerial role in the energy industry (preferred)

Desired Characteristics
Additional Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability, willingness, and adaptability to take initiative and work without direct supervision
Advanced computer skills utilizing word and spreadsheet processing, e-mail programs, facility control and management systems, and computer diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
Wind turbine or energy industry experience
Advanced electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience, including use of hydraulic power tools
Experience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
Comprehensive writing skills to meet contractual reporting obligations, as required
Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the Wind Farm
